Hi, I’m Aria. I’m a multidisciplinary writer, lifelong learner and quiet observer of life’s subtle moments.
I was once a restless postgraduate, questioning my path while tutoring refugee kids and reading books that shifted how I saw the world. Eventually, I left academia and began carving out my own direction.
From 2015 to 2019, life moved fast. I worked in education, wrote stories, co-organized community events, traveled and explored what freedom could look like, both emotionally and financially. When the world slowed down in 2020, so did I. It became a year of letting go and starting fresh.
In 2022, I wandered through Southeast Asia and North Africa, gathering pieces of myself along the way. By 2023, those pieces pointed me toward the Netherlands, where I began again. The decision to move to the Netherlands wasn’t easy. Leaving behind the familiar meant letting go of comfort and stepping into solitude. It’s been a quiet, difficult shift, but one that’s slowly reshaping me.
This blog is where I gather my stories about identity, migration, creativity and healing. It’s a space for reflection, not answers.
Thanks for being here. I hope something in these pages speaks to you.
